My story
This is my story.
Not a perfect story. A story of grace.
Hi, I'm Bianca.
I'm a singer and songwriter from South Africa, but those words only tell you a small part of who I am.
I'm a wife, a mom, a worshipper, a dreamer and a woman who is still learning every day what it means to surrender her plans to God.
Music has always been part of me.
But somewhere along the journey, music became more than something I loved.
It became something I felt called to use.
When music became more
There comes a point where you realise that the gifts you've been given were never only meant for you.
For me, music became a way to express the things I sometimes couldn't say in ordinary words.
Faith.
Fear.
Hope.
Questions.
Gratitude.
Surrender.
My songs began to reflect my own conversations with God.
And eventually I realised that perhaps someone else needed those conversations too.
The songs came from real life
I don't write from a place of having everything figured out.
Quite the opposite.
Some of my deepest songs have come from seasons where I've had questions.
There have been times when I've prayed and waited.
Times when I've wondered what God was doing.
Times when I've had to choose faith before I could see the outcome.
And I've learned something through those seasons:
Faith isn't pretending life isn't difficult.
Faith is choosing to believe God is still God in the middle of it.
That truth lives inside my music.
Why i make music
I'm grateful for every radio play, every stream, every interview and every milestone.
But those things cannot become the reason.
The reason must always remain bigger.
If one person hears a song while sitting alone in their car and remembers that God sees them…
If someone walking through a difficult season finds enough hope to keep going…
If a lyric causes someone to pray again…
Then the song has done what I prayed it would do.
From home to the world
One of the most unexpected parts of this journey has been watching the music travel.
Nothing Comes Close to You opened doors internationally and spent 13 weeks on USA New Vision Radio's chart, including four weeks at number one.
Since then, I've watched songs travel to listeners and radio stations in different parts of the world.
Every milestone is something I'm deeply grateful for.
But it also reminds me that the message isn't mine to control.
My responsibility is simply to keep saying yes.
This is who i am.
I'm still learning.
Still writing.
Still becoming.
Still trusting.
And there are many chapters of this story that haven't been written yet.
But wherever the journey leads, I know what I want the heart behind the music to remain:
Jesus. Hope. Faith. Truth.
Welcome to my story.
